How long does it take to get a project competed?

The lead time for each project depends on a variety of circumstances.  Size and complexity of your project along with the current workload in the shop can affect the lead time.  Generally, we try to keep our lead time within 2-3 weeks.

How much does it cost?

Projects vary, but we have a fairly extensive price list available on this site. No two projects are the same, so if you don’t see what you’re looking for on the price list, please feel free to contact us for an estimate.

How durable is Cerakote?

Cerakote is the leading firearm finish on the market, and out preforms all the other common firearm coatings in abrasion resistance, scratch resistance, and hardness.  Cerakote is also at the top of its class in corrosion resistance and resistance to chemicals.  For a full description of all the ASTM testing results, click here.

Do you offer any type of warranty on the coating?

We stand behind our product and procedure 100%.  In the event that you experience any uncharacteristic wear on the coating, we will refinish your firearm at absolutely no charge.

What do you consider uncharacteristic wear?

Any time you have two surfaces that rub against each other for an extended period of time you are bound to see signs of wearing eventually.  If you feel that this appears prematurely or occurs in areas where there is little or no friction between two surfaces, we would consider that uncharacteristic.  If you drop your firearm out of an airplane at 20,000 feet, you’re on your own!

How do I get started?

You can contact us to arrange a drop off at our facility near Pittsburgh International Airport or ship your project to us with the complete order form.  Please note that all applicable state and federal laws apply when shipping a firearm.

What is the armory fee?

Armory is the complete disassembly and reassembly of your project. In order to properly apply cerakote, the entire firearm needs to be disassembled. The armory fee includes function check and test firing.

Can I do my own armory?

Yes, however, if you decide to do your own armory we will not guarantee the fitment and function of the finished firearm.

Do you offer a dealer program?

Pittsburgh Cerakote does offer a dealer program, if you would like more information about becoming a Pittsburgh Cerakote Certified drop-off location please email us at info@pittsburghcerakote.com.
